Aunt Clara's  Famous Stuffing

1 quart each of day old bread cubes, cornbread and crumbled biscuits
1 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of broth
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 pint of oysters (optional)
1 cup of chopped onions
1 cup of chopped celery
1 1/2 teaspoons of sage
1/4 teaspoon of pepper
1/2 cup of melted butter 

Combine all of the ingredients except the broth, butter and eggs. Toss the ingredients well. Add the broth, butter and eggs. Mix well. Divide the dressing in half. Add 1 pint of oysters to 1/2 of the mixture and stuff the neck cavity and truss. To the other half, add 1 pound of sliced mushrooms. More broth may have to be added. Stuff the body cavity with the mushroom stuffing. If you have any dressing left over after stuffing, cook separately in a well greased baking dish during the last 45 minutes or turkey roasting time.
