| Chicken Fried Steaks 1/2 cup of flour
2 teaspoons of salt
1/8 teaspoon of pepper
2 pounds of round steak
3 tablespoons of shortening
1/2 cup of hot water
1/2 cup of cream |
Instructions: Mix the flour, salt, and pepper and pound into the steak. Brown steak on both sides in hot shortening in a skillet. Add the water and cream and cover. Simmer until the steak is tender. |
