Cream the butter with sugar. Beat in the eggs, one at a time. Beat in the salt and vanilla. Add the flour and blend well. Add the corn syrup. Fold in the dates and pecans. Pour into pastry lined 9 inch pie pan. Bake in a preheated slow oven at 325ºF. for 45 minutes or until set. Makes 6 servings |
