| Stuffed Mushrooms
24 medium to large mushrooms 1 small onion, finely chopped 1/4 cup of (1/2 stick) margarine, melted 1/2 teaspoon of freshly ground pepper 1/2 teaspoon of dried Italian herbs 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder Paprika for garnish 1/2 cup of grated Cheddar cheese 1/3 cup of fine bread crumbs 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1/2 teaspoon of ground pepper 1/2 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce Dash red hot pepper sauce |

Remove mushroom stems and chop them finely. Transfer to medium bowl, stir in cheese, onion, and other ingredients. Blend well. Fill caps with mixture, mounding slightly in center. Sprinkle with paprika. Arrange in shallow baking dish. Cook in microwave on high until heated through, 4 to 5 minutes. Mushrooms can be filled ahead and refrigerated - if so, let stand 30 minutes prior to cooking. |
