3 medium onions, thin sliced 3 tablespoons of butter Two 10 ounce cans of beef consommé 1 1/2 cans of water 1 teaspoon of salt 1/8 teaspoon of pepper 1/2 cup of Swiss cheese French bread |

In 3-quart covered casserole, onion and butter on high 5 minutes. Stir, high for additional 5 minutes. Add broth, water, salt and pepper. Cover, high for 20 minutes. Add thick toasted French bread and shredded Swiss cheese. Microwave 1 minute per serving. Serves 4. |
