
| Maple Syrup Nut Cake
2 1/4 cups of flour 3 teaspoons of baking powder 1 cup of maple syrup 1/2 cup of milk 1 cup of chopped nuts 1/2 cup of white sugar 1 teaspoon of salt 1/2 cup of soft shortening 2 Eggs |

Sift dry ingredients together into bowl. Add syrup, shortening and milk; beat 2 minutes. Add eggs and beat 2 minutes. Add chopped nuts and mix well. Pour into 2 greased and floured 9" pans.
