

| Gingerbread Cake 1
1/2 cup of butter 1 cup of molasses 3/4 cup of brown sugar 1 tablespoon of ground ginger 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon 1 tablespoon of baking soda dissolved in 1 cup of boiling water 2 1/2 cups of flour 2 beaten eggs |

Cream the first 5 ingredients until light. Add baking soda and water, then stir in flour and eggs. Bake in 9" square pan at 325ºF. until a knife comes out clean. This takes about 35 minutes.
