In a medium saucepan, cook the mushrooms, onion, and garlic in butter or margarine until tender. Stir in the cornstarch, herb, salt, and pepper. Stir in the wine and 1/4 cup of water all at once. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir for 2 minutes more. Serve with meat or toss with pasta. Toss with pasta for an impressive side dish. Makes 1 cup ( sixteen 1 tablespoon servings) |
