1/3 cup of sugar 1 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans 1 cup of quick or old fashioned oats 1/2 cup of (1 stick) margarine or butter 3/4 cup of all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon One 21 ounce can of Comstock cherry pie filling
Preheat oven to 400ºF. In large bowl, mix sugar, nuts, oats, margarine and flour until crumbly. Reserve 1 1/2 cups. Press the remainder into bottom of 9 inch square baking dish. Stir cinnamon into cherry filling. Spread over crust. Sprinkle reserved crumbs over top, pressing in lightly. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cut into squares.
