1/2 pound of soft caramels 2 tablespoon of heavy cream 1 cup of pecan halves or large skinned peanuts 1/2 package (4 sq.) dot chocolate (sweet) |

Melt caramels in cream over hot water; cool about 10 minutes. Place nuts on waxed paper in groups of 3. Spoon caramel mixture over nuts leaving tips showing. Let stand until set (about 1/2 hour). Meanwhile, melt chocolate over hot water; cool to lukewarm. Spread cooled chocolate over caramel. Makes 24 turtles. |
