| MIAMI BEACH CAKE
One 6 ounce package of semi sweet chocolate morsels 1/2 cup of graham cracker crumbs 1/3 cup of margarine, melted 1/2 cup of chopped English walnuts 2 cups of plain flour 1 teaspoon of soda 1 teaspoon of salt 1 1/2 cup of sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon of vanilla 1 1/4 cup of buttermilk 2 tablespoons of sugar 1 cup of heavy whipping cream 1/2 cup of margarine |

Melt 1/3 cup morsels. Grease and flour bottom of two 9 inch layer pans. Combine graham cracker crumbs and melted margarine. Stir in walnuts and 2/3 cup morsels and set aside. Combine flour with soda and salt. Cream 1/2 cup margarine, 1 1/2 cups sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Blend in melted morsels and vanilla. At low speed add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk. Turn into pans, sprinkle with crumb mixture. Bake at 375ºF. for 35 minutes. Cool, beat cream with 2 tablespoons sugar until still. Frost and refrigerate. |
