1 cup of butter or margarine Four 1 ounce squares of unsweetened chocolate 2 cups of sugar 1 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour 4 eggs, slightly beaten 1 teaspoon of salt 1 teaspoon of baking powder 2 teaspoon of vanilla 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
FILLING: 1/4 cup of sugar 2 tablespoons of butter 3 ounces of package of cream cheese, softened 1 egg 1 tablespoon of flour 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
Heat oven to 350ºF. In 2 quart saucepan combine 1 cup butter and unsweetened chocolate. Cook over medium heat, stir occasionally until melted (4-6 minutes). Stir in remaining ingredients except chocolate chips. Fold in chocolate chips. Spread half of batter into greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan. In small bowl stir together all filling ingredients. Spread over brownie mixture. Spread remaining batter over cream cheese. (Batter will not completely cover cream cheese mixture.) Bake 30-35 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Delicious!
